FOREIGN citizens applying to study at higher education institutions in China must show competent qualifications and meet the enrollment criteria. They must show economic means to live and study in China.
Higher education institutions shall provide qualification assessment, entrance testing and check-ups for foreign students. Higher education institutions may decide their own enrollment standards. Foreign students receiving academic qualification education in Chinese must take part in the HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test).
