Exhibition adds beauty to park’s display of lotuses

Copies of paintings, letters and documents of famous painter and literati Lu Yanshao are on display at Chenjiashan Lotus Park in Jiading New City.
In addition to the exhibition, visitors to the park can also appreciate blossoming lotus flowers.
“I came here to see the lotus flowers, and to my surprise I can also see an exhibition at the same time. It’s so good!” local resident Pan Chunyan said.
The exhibition is held in a newly opened public culture and art space in the park. All the artworks come from Lu Yanshao Art Gallery, which is one of the cooperative partners of the park.
The park also signed cooperative agreements with Shanghai Art & Design Academy and Artron Art Center to hold regular exhibitions and art classes.
Including Chenjiashan Lotus Park, Jiading has launched a “beautify park” campaign for 11 parks, including Shanghai Auto Expo Park, Tanyuan Garden, Xincheng Park and Nanyuan Park. All parks in the program are slated to have their unique characteristics after the campaign.
At Tanyuan Garden in Nanxiang Town, visitors can appreciate drawings of famous painters and paper-cuttings and gardening works by local residents.
At Nanyuan Park, Jiading Industrial Zone organized volunteers to clean garbage and maintain facilities.
