Festival gets neighbors talking ...

The Jiading Harmonious Neighbor鈥檚 Wechat account was launched at the opening of 2015 Jiading Harmonious Neighbor Festival on April 26. Visitors can receive activity information and check all kinds of news info.
Jiading plans to hold 287 activities for neighbors in 2015, and all the details are available on the platform. It will also cover practical information and services for the public in addition to community activities.
This year鈥檚 festival is in two parts: stage performances and outdoor activities to help community residents to make friends with their neighbors.
Just outside the interactive area of the festival, three new Jiading residents were chatting while making handiworks. 鈥淭he community activities are really good. Without the activities we could never have got to know each other,鈥 Mao Yurong from Heilongjiang Province said.
One of the places where neighbor activities are held is the Wednesday Classroom at Tianma Community. It has been expanded to become an open classroom for residents nearby.
Also, four social organizations have joined the festival to design activities for residents to make them feel at home and get to know their neighbors better.
