Follow the balloon to discover a district
A VIDEO promoting Jiading District is proving a hit online, with more than a million views on Weibo in the first 12 days since its release.
鈥淐olorful Jiading鈥 follows a red balloon as it takes viewers on an exploration of the district that is split into five sections separated by five homophonic Chinese characters which mean harmony, energy, happiness, inheriting and charm.
The video grips your attention with some breathtaking pictures and absorbing background music.
From advanced manufacturing industry to the daily life of local residents, the beautifully filmed video managed to capture the vitality and beauty of Jiading.
Director Lin Xujian also made 鈥淟ove Jiading,鈥 which debuted in 2010 and is widely regarded as one of the most impressive city promotional videos to be made in China.
Lin admitted feeling huge pressure when he directed his latest work. However, with a well-planned filming schedule and slick post production, the promotional video manages to present all that鈥檚 best about Jiading as well as bringing some of its neglected beauties to viewers鈥 attention.
