Former textile factory now tasting sweeter with a range of cafes

An old factory at 70 Bole Road has become a new business landmark, called Now Factory.
Now Factory is a large industrial park for the culture and creativity industries. As the first of its kind in Jiading, it will be the most artistic business landmark in the district, and is expected to be open to public early this year. Previously it was the Feilian Textile Factory but is now, after redevelopment, and renovation, a space with a collection of galleries, offices, restaurants, cafes and entertainment facilities.

Caffebene
Part of the largest coffee chain in South Korea, the coffee shop sells all kinds of coffee, tea, juice, waffles and pastries.
Caffebene is a great place for gatherings or lazy afternoons.
Cat-Mountain-King
Durian Cake Shop
The shop specializes in desserts made from durian. The variety used is called Cat-Mountain-King from Malaysia, which is ranked second in the list of best durian varieties. The fruit is frozen after they are picked and delivered to Shanghai. You can choose from durian gelato, durian brulee, durian chiffon cake, durian balls and others. Most of desserts are made with no added sugar to keep as much of the durian’s original flavor as possible. Durian coffee is made with a mixture of Malaysia coffee and durian.
Double Zero
Nozzo is a famous mobile food van located at New Field Plaza in Jiading, which has become the most popular ice cream van in the area. In order to earn more customers, the owner of Nozzo decided to open a flagship store called Double Zero at Now Factory.
The store is equipped with top ice cream maker brand pasmo, which is a health guarantee that the ice cream is free from trans fats. The store says it will offer more ice cream flavors, better services and environment in the store with its walls full of graffiti and 3D paintings.
Mr Sugar
Mr Sugar is a cafe selling Hong Kong-style desserts. Diversified activities and events are often held during festivals, sometimes with freebies for customers.
Fruit parfait is a popular dessert which enables customers to add their own choice of fruits, cereals and ice cream to its original recipe.
In addition, the cakes at Mr Sugar are supplied by the Sheraton Hotel and made with pure natural ingredients.
We Sweet
Highly recommended by the famous talk show “Kangsi Coming” in Taiwan and Channel Young Food program in Shanghai, We Sweet is a popular cafe claiming to keep products fresh at a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius.
There are a lot of special desserts to enjoy from the cake version of bubble tea to fruit puff pastry made with fresh fruits and custard sauce, banana black forest and cupcakes.
