Four new tourist routes highlight district attractions

FOUR one-day touring routes around Jiading District have been launched by the Shanghai Tourism Distribution Center.

The routes launched on March 7 feature more than 20 spots, including Zhouqiao Scenic Spot, Art Museum of Buddhist Statues, Shanghai International Automobile City, Cao'an Shopping Mall, Huating Family and Maoqiao Village in the district's agricultural zone, Nanxiang ancient town.

Guyi Garden in Nanxiang drew almost 100 visitors on the first day. Zhabei District resident Dai Lanying used to drive to Guyi Garden with her family.

"It's more convenient now with the new travel routs," she says. "It's fun listening to guides explaining the history and legends of the garden."

In the future she wants to visit Maoqiao Village and the Automobile City.

More routes will be developed in the different seasons to attract more visitors.
