Waigang Town held its first competition to harvest rice by gripper, a kind of grappling device used for harvesting crops. Sixteen of 45 participants received awards based on their speed, height of harvested crops and cleanliness of grains. Waigang has worked hard in recent years to advance agricultural mechanization and foster inter-disciplinary talents.
