Going is now smoother on 21 renovated roads

TWENTY-ONE roads in Jiading have been opened to traffic after renovation, including Yining Road and Zepu Road.
There are 20 roads under renovation or planned to be renovated this year. Eight of the planned projects are new, including Cangchang Road, Chengliu Road M., Minfeng Road, South Avenue, Shugou Road and Qingyu Road.
The renovation on Shengzhu Road in Juyuan New Area is expected to be completed by mid November.
As a trunk road in the area, the road has heavy traffic as it links many residential areas and schools, including Jiading No. 1 High School, Taoliyuan School and Experimental Kindergarten.
“The road used to be bumpy and now it’s much smoother after renovation,” Mao Ning who drives along the road every day said.
Another road under renovation is Shengxin Road, which runs under the elevated Jiading New Town Station of Metro Line 11.
After eight months’ work, the road has been greatly improved in terms of flatness and comfort, drivers said.
