High quality after 10 years鈥 effort

AFTER 10 years’ of construction, Jiading New Town has taken on a new look with more roads, landscaped areas, and public and cultural facilities.
In the past, there was only one bumpy road (Shengxin Road) for vehicles entering this area from Jiading Old Town. Now, Jiading New Town has 32 roads for traffic with 18 bus routes.
Zhang Naihua, engineering department manager of Jiading New Town Development Company, said the new roads were well-paved with good-looking landscaped scenery.
So far, the greenery covers an area of about 2 million square meters, occupying over 40 percent of Jiading New Town.
Many greenery areas are in the heart of the area to provide a resting place for residents.
To meet the need of residents in the new area, various public facilities such as a library, hospital and schools have been set up. Zhang said all these public facilities were made of high quality materials to be in line with the overall quality of the New Town.
In the future, the Jiading New Town will continue to build more cultural activity centers and commercial plazas to enrich the life of local residents and attract new investment.
