Homecoming exhibition for elderly artist

A 96-year-old artist is showing his works which include painting, calligraphy and seal cutting in his hometown Jiading District.
An exhibition featuring Gu Zhenle's masterpieces is open to the public at Jiading's Lu Yanshao Art Gallery until April 10. More than 80 exhibits lead visitors into a lively natural world created by the artist's elegant strokes and rigorous cuts. Visitors can also enjoy Gu's simple and pleasant poems inscribed on the paintings. Gu, who has been wielding his paintbrush and carving knife since the age of 14, is a member of China's legendary Xiling Society of Seal Arts.
