Huawei to help district going digital

The Jiading government and Huawei Technologies Co signed an agreement in Shenzhen earlier this month to promote the construction of Internet of Vehicles and Digital Jiading.
Huawei is to set up a vehicle networking innovation center in Jiading to promote the project and gather talent and resources for Jiading’s innovation and development as well as the transformation and upgrading of Jiading’s economy.
Both sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in intelligent driving, intelligent connectivity, connected vehicle cloud, and promote the implementation of more Huawei projects in Jiading.
Jiading will implement a big data strategy, accelerate the construction of Digital Jiading, and build a “digital government” in Shanghai.
The two sides will cooperate in intelligent education, medical care and many other fields.
Phone number portability program
Long-awaited mobile number portability program has taken effect, allowing mobile users to keep their phone numbers when switching to a new network provider.
The service is now available in Jiading. The 326 Shanghai outlets of China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom offer number portability services.
Users can check the availability of mobile number portability by sending a short message to the carriers’ hotline numbers 10086, 10000 and 10010 or call directly. If users are qualified, they can get authorization codes to switch carriers.
Carriers are not allowed to set up obstacles or add unnecessary conditions for consumers applying for the service.
Previously, most people were not able to retain their mobile numbers if they wanted to change carriers.
