Industrial park takes a shine to intelligence
AN “Intelligent Hardware Manufac-turing Base,” the first of its kind in China has settled in a 6000-square-meter mansion in Nanxiang Shineland Industrial Park.
Inside the exhibition hall on the first floor, visitors can see various products including a bracelet that can record heart rate and blood pressure information and send it to doctors. There’s also a digital accessory developed by Blueberry Digital that can sound an alarm if a thief steals a bag.
More applications are being developed for the healthcare industry, such as a device which lets mothers-to-be to share the activities of their unborn child online so that doctors can check its condition.
Nanxiang Shineland decided to aim at the intelligent hardware sector and make it the core business of the incubator after a series of market research projects at the beginning of the year.
“Intelligent hardware has a great potential in the future as the technology of this area is still at preliminary stage,” a spokesman from the industrial park said.
Magnet for ‘smart’ firms
There are more than 30 intelligent hardware companies registered in the park, and a dozen companies have settled there. Some research and development teams engaged in the intelligent hardware fields have already worked there for several years.
Nanxiang Shineland has introduced preferential policies for these companies that include free renting, a starting fund of up to 150,000 yuan, a million yuan financial guarantee and venture capital investment. The companies can also take part in a “Science and Technology 50” business startup contest to attract more attention and investment.
