Innovation winners into next round
Interviews and road shows for the Internet of Things innovation training camp have been held at an incubator in Jiading District. Sixteen teams have entered the next round after the camp.
Some outstanding projects will enter a 3-month incubation phase and the first prize winner will receive a bonus of 100,000 yuan (US$15,873), said deputy general manager of Simic Group Chen Feng.
Program winners will receive one-on-one consultations with Wang Xi, chairman of Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology.
The Shanghai Internet of Things Center will provide technology and industry support.
One of the candidates is “Translation Glove” from south China’s Guangdong Province. The product can turn sign language into voice.
During the 3-month innovation camp, the 16 teams can use laboratories and equipment provided by Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology and Shanghai Internet of Things Center.
“We plan to hold the innovation clinic regularly to provide a platform for parties interested in the Internet of Things and advanced sensors,” said Chen.
