THE 2013 Shanghai Spring Ironman Triathlon took place in the Auto Expo Park in Jiading on June 2. The event was organized by Shanghai Auto City and the Shanghai Triathlon Sports Association. About 450 Chinese and expats competed. This year about half of the athletes were Chinese, significantly more than last year. It was the second Ironman Triathlon held by Shanghai Auto City and there are plans to hold the event twice a year in future.
