Jiading attracts top investment companies

JIADING District has attracted more than 300 equity and investment management enterprises, among which 15 are approved by the city government and with a total registration capital of 3.6 billion yuan (US$569 million).
It has effectively promoted the district's innovation-driven strategy and industrial transformation.
Shanghai Jiading Enterprising Investment Management Co Ltd was established to attract outstanding teams from home and abroad to develop businesses in Jiading and cultivate local management teams. Up till now, it has invested 320 million yuan on several funds and managed risk capital of 710 million yuan.
Further development is witnessed at Jiading Industrial Zone, with the advanced manufacturing industry, modern service industry and many other emerging industries making progress at a fast pace. Pillar industries such as automotive, e-commerce and new energy are thriving.
These have formed a big attraction to investors such as Essex Woodlands, one of the most well known US health care venture capital firms. Essex Woodlands will work jointly with the industrial zone to establish the China's first foreign capital risk investment fund of 100 million yuan on life science.
