Jiading residents love belting out tunes

THE "Sing as You Want" Jiading singing contest has become popular among Jiading residents - regardless of age, occupation or education level - since it was launched in April.
The contest covers various singing styles including folk, bel canto and pop. A lot of talented people were discovered through the contest. Some are shy and some are confident; some performed quietly and some performed with passion. Sure, they are not professionals, but they all tried their best.
For them, the result does not matter. What really matters is getting the chance to sing at the stage that belongs to themselves.
