Learn to fly in wind tunnel
PEOPLE can learn to fly in Jiading as the Flying Experience Center at Shanghai International Automobile City is now open to the public.
The center, using airflow dynamics, enables people to fly in the center's wind tunnel. Healthy people aged 5 to 60 and weighing less than 100 kilograms can experience the feeling of fly for two minutes after a 45-minute training session.
"I felt like swimming in the air," said Wang Yan, a visitor to the center. "It was very exciting."
Presently the center is only open for group reservations of 10 people or more. It costs 280 yuan (US$45) per person.
Sichuan and Liaoning provinces are the only two other places in the country that have similar flying centers.
The vertical wind tunnel is about 15 meters tall, enclosed with glass walls. There are six air blowers at the bottom of the wind tunnel.
