Learn to make a mobile phone cover of your own

A mobile phone is an essential part of our daily lives these days. And a mobile phone cover has become a fashionable item for today's young people.
But if you want to be really different then you can make a cover for yourself. Xu Dingyu, a senior tailor at Shanghai Conch Clothing Co Ltd, has made an interesting cover using the sleeve of an old shirt.
Her design consists of five pieces of cloth, a rubber band and a button. The shirt sleeve is about 17.3cm long and 7cm wide.
The body of the cover is divided into front and back parts, while the front part is divided into left and right parts. The front part is about 4.8cm long with a width of 5.5cm. The side of the mobile cover is about 2.2cm long and 5.5cm wide.
When tailoring, the sleeve part should be sewn with the right piece of the front part at first, then the left piece and right piece would each be sewn with the back part as the body of the cover. Use a button and fix it at the middle part of the sleeve piece, and sew the rubber band on the top and later sew it with the body part. Then a shirt-sleeve mobile phone cover is done.
When the mobile is put into the mobile phone cover, the rubber band fixes the button that prevents it from dropping out. Such sized cover is right for an iphone. If you have a mobile with bigger screen, you could make it bigger.
If that's too technical for you then there is a simpler method.
Find an old shirt, then cut it to the size of your mobile. If the width is too big, then you could sew in the two edge parts with a rubber band. Then a simple mobile phone cover is done. Of course, the fabric of the shirt should be thick, otherwise it won't appear in good shape.
