Learning centers offered more government support

THE heads of 20 universities and institutions, including Fudan University, Tongji University, Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, and Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics gathered in Jiading on February 3 to discuss further cooperation.

Jin Jianzhong, Party secretary of Jiading District, told the meeting that as Jiading shared the same development direction as the organizations, it would like to provide them with various support services, including resources, policies and talents.

In 2010, Jiading will focus more on the establishment of a Shanghai products center in the Microsystem Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, New Energy Industry Base of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics and National Software Base of the East-China Computer Research Institute.

Also, Jiading will work harder on expanding the Jiading Park of Zhangjiang High-tech Development Zone, Shanghai Culture Information Garden and Fuhua High-tech Garden.

In recent years, Jiading has implemented many policies to promote cooperation between institutions of higher learning and scientific units.

These policies have also encouraged a group of professional people to settle in Jiading by providing them with better living conditions and good remuneration.
