Life and automobile:Shanghai Auto Culture Festival to be kicked off

ON April 15, annual Shanghai Auto Culture Festival will be kicked off at Shanghai International Circuit in Jiading District of Shanghai. Based on the theme of “Experiencing auto culture, Innovating life with car,” the festival will host more than 10 activities. The auto fest will offer opportunities for visitors to have spring outing and experience the charm in Jiading.
Car races
In addition to Formula One Chinese Grand Prix, Shanghai International Circuit will hold a series of races in May, including: Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia Series, Formula Masters China Series, and Audi R8 LMS Cup. The exciting races are sure to thrill auto fans.
Besides, Jiading will also present a colorful show — Season Shanghai Jiading Themed Park — for visitors at Waterscape Plaza of Shanghai International Circuit from April 15 to 17.
Visitors will be able to see vintage car exhibition and CAS car shows, as well as rent an electrical car. At Jiading Travel booth, visitors will get to know diversified travel resources of Jiading through interactive activities. At auto model creative market, visitors will have a close look at the commercial vehicle model show, and DIY car models. Performances and interactive games will also brighten the stage.
Apart from the three-day activity, from April to May a series of other activities will be held including urban orientation challenge, travel by electric cars, auto model creation series.
Traveling in Jiading
Apart from car races, Jiading will host many other auto-related activities.
At Shanghai International Circuit, visitors can drive kartings, experience wind hole effect and ATV cross-country track. Visitors can see more than 100 vintage cars in Shanghai Auto Museum. At Shanghai Volkswagon workshop, visitors can have a look at the production line on a sightseeing van.
Shanghai Auto Culture Festival is concurrent with the Spring outing season. At the famous Guyi Garden in Shanghai, you can see the famous Chinese flower — peonies. Huating Renjia and Wistaria Park are also worth a visit.
