Local enterprise encouraged to go abroad
LOCAL enterprises in Jiading District have raised their international influence through actively exploring overseas markets with the help of the district government in the past few years.
Jiading economic department has published information of over 10 recommended exhibitions on its official website and sent text messages to notify relevant local companies. In addition, the district government holds training two or three times each year, inviting experts to discuss policies and business information regarding import and export.
The district economic department has helped the enterprises apply for municipal funding for small and medium-sized enterprises to explore international markets since 2006. A total of 233 companies in Jiading received the supporting funds last year.
Under such guidance, Warom Group, mainly working on explosion protection equipment, is able to participate in overseas exhibitions with the funds. At the Hannover Industrial Fair 2010 in Germany, the group reached intentional procurement agreement of more than US$2 million. The group's wholly owned subsidiary Iran Warom has also been put into production.
Shanghai Jwell Machinery Co Ltd, the leading plastic machinery and chemical fiber equipment manufacturer in China, never misses the world's largest International Plastics and Rubber Industrial Exhibition. Earlier this year, it signed the cooperative agreement with IPS, the world-famous seller in this field and granted IPS as its exclusive sales agent in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirate, Nigeria and Libya.
China HuaCe (CHC) is a leading global navigation satellite system technology manufacturer. CHC's products have been used in survey work in countries such as Laos. CHC has carried on the "go out" strategy since 2007, and now its products are sold as far as Brazil, South Africa and Poland. Overseas sales are expected to exceed US$2 million this year, which is a remarkable feat in the mapping field monopolized by foreign companies.
