THE Shanghai Lotus Research Institute has been set up at Guyi Garden in Nanxiang Town. As a joint project by Shanghai Guyi Garden, the Shanghai Gardening Research Institute, Shanghai Botanic Garden, Shanghai Chenshan Botanic Garden and the Shanghai Jiading New Town Development Co, the center aims to become the leading lotus research institute in China. Academic exchanges, lectures, seminars and exhibitions will be held by the institute to help ensure that lotus research in Jiading can be the best in the country.
