MBA course with Chinese characteristics
MANY entrepreneurs who chose a Chinese MBA course by Nanbai Culture Communication Co Ltd, a company headquartered in the West Suburb Business Zone of Jiangqiao Town in Jiading District, said it helped them sort out business ideas and conquer difficulties.
In one class, a student expressed interest in the mining industry, but was hesitant because the investment would eat up all of his savings. He wondered, "Should I take the risk?"
The lecturer smiled and said "Let's discuss it."
One of the students from the mining industry then raised his hand and said "The market prospect is promising in my point of view. It's worth a try."
Another classmate asked whether exploration technology is mature, and advised him to get sufficient professionals.
Someone suggested, "It's best to take the pulse of government policies. Recently environmental protection has become the focus."
After the discussion and analysis, the student decided to go for the investment.
The lecturer said the theme of the lesson was: Sharing information with others always makes you happier than keeping it to yourself.
The Chinese MBA course discusses "family gossip" including things such as staff meals and working atmosphere or even questions whether students have a harmonious life with their families.
Nanbai's director said they send a Confucianism teacher to the students' companies every year to popularize filial piety.
One of the company's owners initially scoffed that this had nothing to do with business. But he changed his idea as the courses went on, and the concept of filial piety has been gradually accepted by more people in the company.
The teacher suggested offering bonuses for "dutiful sons" in the company and giving allowances to employees' parents. This greatly changed employees' view of the company and the inner cohesion has thus been strengthened.
