Ming Dynasty tombs unearthed in Jiading
WORKERS recently unearthed an ancient tomb when doing infrastructure work for Yuanxiang Lake project. After experts from Shanghai Bureau of Cultural Heritage and the archaeological department of Shanghai Museum were called in, three family tombs were excavated. Some blue and white porcelain bowls, porcelain jugs and bronze mirrors were also found. The tombs are believed to date back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Talent show staged for migrant workers
On November 14, 15 finalists competed in a talent show for migrant workers, which was part of the 13th Shanghai International Arts Festival, at Wanda Plaza. Since the contest was unveiled, contestants from more than 20 provinces and municipalities have scrambled to show off their impressive talents.
