Museum complex takes another step

The Haishang Cultural Museum complex will be set up opposite the Han Tianheng Art Museum and Nanshuiguan Park.
In south of Jiading Old Town, near to the Jiading Exit of S5 Hujia Highway, the complex will be part of an open cultural park of with two main buildings displaying artworks from contemporary artists as well as items from top collectors at home and abroad.
Based on different requirements, the complex will be divided into more than 30 individual exhibition rooms in different sizes ranging from 500 to 3,000 square meters with functional space for workshops and seminars.
It will make it possible for visitors to see dozens of collections from world-class collectors and thousands of artworks by renowned artists.
After a series of preparatory work including inspection, research and promotion, the construction of the complex will officially kick off next year and is expected to be completed by 2018, the 800th anniversary of the founding of Jiading County.
