Online government hall ready by 2017

All administrative approval procedures could be completed online by 2017 in Jiading District, officials said earlier this month.
Jiading is spending three years to construct the online government hall based on the 鈥淪hanghai Jiading鈥 web portal, fulfilling the goal that different kinds of administrative approvals and sharing of government information can be done on this single website.
When it is operational, citizens can click on the website, follow instructions and apply for all kinds of administrative approval.
Even though they still have to go to the on-site office to proceed with the application, citizens can make reservations online, saving their time.
As planned, by the end of the year the framework of the online government hall will be finished and will start a test run. By 2016, district-level examination and approval will be carried out online. By 2017, the online government hall will have been completed.
