Plenty of tourist fun in Nanxiang

As part of Jiading Shopping and Tourist Festival, Nanxiang Town has prepared a variety of activities for residents, and some surprises.
This year, the festival will be divided into three sections with 18 activities. The festival is due to end on October 21, so don’t miss this opportunity to take a look at the activities in Nanxiang.
The town’s signature snack xiaolongbao, or steamed buns, will continue to play a major role. The local government will help the food culture “go out,” by expanding the activities to neighboring cities such as Suzhou and Hangzhou. Other than a traditional xiaolongbao tasting event, various activities will be held during the National Day holidays from October 1-7.
Other than local snacks, a variety of events will be availed to promote local history and cultures in the tourism and shopping festival.
Through these events, it is hoped that people will get deeper understanding of Nanxiang, an ancient town of rich intangible cultural heritage.
It will also be a great opportunity for people from all around the country to know the charm of Nanxiang and its characteristics.
