A Russian Red Cross delegation from St Petersburg visited Jiading on March 9. After visiting the Confucius Temple and China Imperial Examination Museum, the Russian guests expressed their appreciation of the members of Jiading Red Cross Volunteer Service Team who serve in the museum.
Donors register
A total of 572 Jiading citizens had registered to voluntarily donate body parts by March 1, the ninth Body Donation Memorial Day of Shanghai, and 47 of them have already achieved their cherished wish.

Jiading Town Community was honored as one of the "national models of community education" by China Adult Education Association. In recent years, Jiading Town Community has made great efforts to establish a complete educational culture service and held a series of educational events such as the Confucius Temple Forum and Neighborhood Culture Festival.

A slow loris, which is an animal species under first-class national protection in China, was found in a Jiading factory and later sent to Shanghai Zoo. The staff of Jiading Forestry Station believes it might be the pet of a local citizen.
Jobs on weibo
Eight villagers from Xianlong Village in Jiading have been employed after finding job vacancy information through the village's weibo (Chinese version of Twitter). Twelve enterprises in the village have published employment opportunities on weibo since the end of last year, offering more than 150 jobs.

The Jiading Government website began test operation on March 3 with its weather section. Jiading citizens can get the latest weather information for all towns and communities in Jiading District, with data updated every ten minutes.
Social security
Two community social security centers in Nanxiang Town and Jiading Industrial Zone were formally put into use on March 11. Their major responsibility is to promote social security in the communities.
Diabetes checks
The first physique test for diabetes was carried out across the district on March 9, and 600 patients will participate in aerobic exercise treatment for one year. The involved patients shall be under 70 and have no other serious diseases. They shall also be voluntary and able to ensure enough time to take part in the exercises every week.
