Renovation of old town area to start soon

JIADING'S old town area will be renovated by five state-owned enterprises.
While preserving historic spots such as Zhouqiao and Ximen, Jiading government will improve infrastructure facilities to make the old town more habitable.
A total of 18 reconstruction projects, including relocation bases, new roads, cultural, sports and commercial facilities will be included.
They will be put in Xinchenglu Community, Juyuan New Community and Jiading Industrial Zone.
Areas at the historic scenic spots, Metro Line 11's Jiading West Station and Jiading Stadium will be rebuilt as well.
Among the 18 projects, three are expected to be finished within the year. All will be undertaken by Shanghai Chengtou Corporation.
The construction of Jiading Museum is in full swing and is expected to be topped out within the year.
Covering a building area of 9,776 square meters, it will be divided into three functional areas, including exhibition areas, relics collection area and historical evolution area.
