Road trips are mapped out at auto culture festival
This year’s Shanghai Auto Culture Festival kicked off on March 6 at the Shanghai International Circuit in Jiading District with a show about road trips.
It included car adaptations, tourism, outdoor activities, tents and drones, and around 1,000 people from sectors that included the auto, tourism, finance, media and entertainment industries shared their experiences and insights on the future development of the self-drive tour market.
Leading electric vehicle company NIO displayed its EP9, the world’s fastest all-electric supercar, and the ES7, a 7-seater high-performance electric SUV.
Ctrip collaborated with Shanghai Zhida Science and Technology Company to build an experience area for road trip lovers. Showcasing were trucks, recreational vehicles and other equipment for outdoor trips.
A 54.76-meter panoramic map of the China National Highway 318 (G318) displayed the scenery and folk customs along the country’s most beautiful highway.
Nie Yunxing, director of the film “China National Highway 318,” shared his thoughts on road movies during the festival.
With the theme of “Integration, Innovation and Sharing,” the festival will run through May 6 and present 14 activities covering competitions, exhibitions, leisure and business cooperation.
