Sports complex up and running in Nanxiang

AN 18,000-square-meter sports complex opened in Nanxiang Town on August 30.
All its shops will open by the end of September.
The complex has a badminton area with eight courts along with shower rooms and sauna rooms. The field has a VIP room with sofa, TV sets and other equipment.
The complex also has a kung fu center, a dance center and taekwondo center, which are already open for use.
A roof-top tennis court covering an area of 1,400 square meters is near completion and it will have more than 100 seats for spectators. They will be able to watch a tennis match and, in their spare moments, also enjoy views of Nanxiang Old Street.
The complex will also have a sports center for children, a children’s theater and a lot of snack shops.
Operators of the complex say that it will benefit about 200,000 residents in 82 neighborhoods nearby in a scope of three kilometers, where other sports facilities are rare.
The complex will have discounted hours and free hours between 8am to 3pm from Mondays to Fridays. It will also distribute a variety of discount vouchers to attract nearby residents to make use of the facilities.
“I can exercise, play ball game, dine and watch movies at the complex and that is much more convenient than before,” said Tang Juan, a resident who lives at that Hongxiao Apartment Neighborhood which is close to the new complex.
