Stocked up for Expo

LOCATED at No. 48 Qinghe Road, Jiading Shopping Mall has been newly renovated with a distinguished logo for World Expo 2010.

The mall has an Expo licensed outlet, offering nearly 5,000 articles in 25 categories.

The outlet is divided into two parts with a 300-square-metre display room on the 5th floor where two 1.6-meter-high Haibaos, mascot of the Expo, welcome visitors.

The licensed products include electrical equipment, toys and garments priced from 10 yuan (US$1.46) to 10,000 yuan. These products not only cater for top-class collectors but also ordinary customers. Customers can receive a special discount for group purchase. A 120-square-meter area on the first floor is set aside for individual buyers.

There are also some licensed products related to Chinese elements, such as ceramics from Jingdezhen, purple-clay tea pots from Yixing and jade from Xinjiang.

Jade items are highly recommended and one of the highlights is named "Flying Shanghai White Jade Stamp." Before May 1, only Jiading was licensed to sell the stamp, of which there are only 60,000 available in the whole country.

For Expo licensed products in Jiading there are only two manufacturers, four enterprises doubling in producing and selling and 22 retail outlets. It is estimated that there will be about 300 million yuan worth of products sold during the event. Questions about Expo licensed products should be directed through 6271-6005 from 9am to 5:30pm.
