Students making their own lunch
MORE than 20 overseas students from South Korea and Germany have learned to make Nanxiang xiaolong (small steamed buns) at a newly opened experience hall in Nanxiang Old Street.
The students showed a keen interest in the process and listened to a teacher carefully as they watched closely.
All of them joined in when their turn came.
A student from Germany said it was really interesting to get to know how to make the treat but said she needed more practice. The students tasted the buns they had made after cooking them in a steamer.
The experience was part of 2014 Shanghai Nanxiang Xiaolong Culture Festival. Visitors can take part in the activity by buying a ticket online. The activity will last till the end of the year.
