Summer hotlines provide timely aid for local residents
THE oppressive heat are annoying residents now and summer hotlines of all departments in Jiading are busy answering their calls, bringing relief to residents and timely solving their problems.
The hotline for Jiading water service is 5952-2644, which is quite busy in the summer and has received around 20 calls for help daily since June.
A tap water pipe broke beside 768 Jiaxin Road on July 6. After receiving the call, Yongsheng Water Factory sent workers to the site within 15 minutes and they soon finished repairs.
The authority of Jiading water service releases water information on its official microblog, including the water quality and the schedule of water cuts.
From June 15 to 23, Jiading Power Co received 2,669 calls. The repair teams arrived at the sites in about 20 minutes, and solved the problems within a quarter of an hour on average.
Frequent thunderstorms have played havoc with TV signals. Repairers are busy tackling these problems nowadays. Normally, they can solve the problems within 24 hours.
In Waigang Town alone, they have made repairs for over 100 families in just a few days.
At midnight on July 13, the TV signal in some areas of Waigang's Quanjing Village was cut off. A repair team was sent there at dawn and found an amplifier had been damaged in a storm. They replaced it immediately, resuming the TV service for more than 60 families affected.
