DELICIOUS grapes and beautiful rural scenery are on offer at the 14th Shanghai Malu Grape Festival, that runs until October 7.
Activities including blind dates, lectures on wine culture and night outings, and a Mid-Autumn Festival tasting party will take place during the event.
To ensure that fruit fans are getting genuine Malu grapes, Malu Town has this year launched a new packaging design for its juicy produce, with the Malu grapes registered trademark printed on the box. Individual brand marks of local grape growers and QR codes are also printed on boxes.
Last year, Malu helped local grape growers register the official Malu grapes website and establish a good reputation through online sales.
Grape fans can go to www.malugrapes.com to place their orders, which is managed by a new grape sales company established by growers.
Malu grapes have been recognized as a Shanghai Famous Brand, while the village itself has been honored as a 4A-level tourist area.
