Talent wins as district boosts housing policies

JIADING District will offer 450 million yuan (US$65.85 million) as housing subsidies during 2009-2011 to attract talent.
Each year, the local government will provide housing subsidies of 10 million yuan. Another 10 million yuan will be added to the subsidies in 2010 and 2011.
The district will also offer 300,000 square meters in housing during the three years for talent to buy and rent.
Currently, 30 apartments at Poly Town and housing subsidies for more than 140 talents have been offered. The administration work is expected to be completed in April.
By the end of the year, the district will have completed construction of houses covering 40,000 square meters. High-end talent at local universities, scientific research institutions, technological enterprises above city level and key public institutions can benefit from the housing subsidy policy.
As well 1,000 young talents at the district's scientific research institutions, universities and key enterprises, as well as distinguished new university graduates can enjoy special housing subsidies.
The district's housing security service center for talent was established last month to give help and a welcoming feeling for talent.
