SHANGHAI General Motor's new electric car, Sail Springo, is now available for test driving at the Shanghai Electric Car Test Driving Center. The Sail Springo features a modern style with a LCD screen and large touch screen. It can run about 130km on one charge with power consumption less than 15 kwh per 100km. The battery can be charged with power outlets at home. It takes about seven hours to fully charge the battery. Shanghai International Automobile City and Shanghai General Motors have signed agreements on promoting new energy cars. In the future, SGM will provide the test center with more new electric car models. Automobile City will help SGM collect data for research from the test drives.
