In the view of many start-up companies, the Jiading Service Center of Shanghai Equity Trusteeship Exchange Center is the place where their dreams can come true.
The center in Jiading New Town provides a wide range of services including equity trusteeship, trading and registration for companies in and around Jiading.
Chen Yan, in charge of the center, said its main work is to provide one-stop financing services for small and medium-sized companies in aspects such as listing, equity exchange, equity and debt financing, value exploration and market promotion.
Service and guidance
So far, 86 companies have been listed at the center, with 14 based in Jiading.
The companies may not be very rich or well-managed, but they must have potential such as having core technologies and a professional team. With such advantages, listed companies at the center are favored by investors.
One of the beneficiaries is Shanghai Yunsheng Bamboo and Wood Products Co Ltd, a producer of bamboo-made outdoor decoration products.
After being listed on the center it soon attracted millions of yuan in investment.
The company used the money to expand the planting area for raw materials, increase production lines and expand overseas markets.
It is estimated that its turnover will increase to 100 million yuan (US$16.42 million) this year from 35 million yuan last year.
Apart from financing, listed companies can also get help in operational management and financial services from the center.
Shanghai Yuqiang Outdoor Product Co Ltd had been refused by financial institutes for loans due to its poor management.
The situation changed after it was listed.
Under the guidance of the center, the company has improved its internal management and doubled its profits.
Now it has realized equity financing of more than 19.36 million yuan.
