The shopping malls with something for everyone

SALES are everywhere in stores during Christmas and New Year season and there are a number of shopping malls in Jiading District where you can find bargains. They include the Wanda Plaza in Jiangqiao Town, Life Hub @ Anting in Anting Town, Robinsons Galleria in Jiading Town, and MCC Shineton City Plaza in Nanxiang Town, just a few of several shopping centers with different features to attract customers.
Best place for eating
Foodies in Jiading have recently found a good place to treat themselves — Liucheng New Field Plaza is located in an old factory. If you like grills, Japanese grill restaurant Hao Niu will be a good choice. Yammi, another Japanese restaurant, offers freshly made sashimi and sushi with a set of budget dishes. If you fancy Italian cuisine, you can try Bella Ciao, which serves you genuine Italian pasta and pizza. Sanhua Nainai (“Granny”) and Starbucks will be good places to go for a cup of coffee and your favorite dessert. The plaza also features clothing stores, gyms and cinemas.

Best places for imported products
One direct sales center for imported products will open to the public around the New Year’s Day at Anting Fortune Plaza. No matter where you come from, you should be able to buy products from your home country there. Meanwhile, the plaza has facilities and stores including China Merchants Bank, Citic Securities, Ichido, Hanting All Season Hotel, Kingsport Gym and Harvest Festival Restaurant. The plaza is also in negotiation with other brands including Zoo Coffee from South Korea and Element Fresh.

Children’s paradise
Jiafuhui Plaza is at the center of Nanmen International Commercial Center, at the south end of Jiading old town. You can take Jiading No. 1, 2, 5, or 6 buses there. There is a children’s park in the plaza, with facilities including slides, trampolines, swings and a merry-go-round. Children can also have a drawing lesson from professional art teachers. A coffee shop called Coffee Time can serve you a cup of coffee while waiting for your kids. At dinner time, you can try a fish hot pot in a restaurant called Yuhuo or the crayfish at Tianji Griddle Restaurant.

Stock up for New Year
New Year’s Day is drawing near, so you might be considering where to stock up for the festival? One answer is the Metro Supermarket at Starworld Mall. The supermarket covers an area of over 20,000 square meters and offers thousands of products for shoppers. The mall is also a good place for dates, since there’s a Mei Ah Cineplex, with soft seats in the cinema large enough for a couple to relax while seeing a movie.
