Tourism fest closes with a big bang
The Auto Music Festival closed the Jiading District lineup of events during the 2013 Shanghai Tourism Festival on October 20.
The music festival was staged at Shanghai Automobile Expo Park and fans interacted with singers and musicians, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
The tourism festival organizer canceled the opening ceremony, but offered a 50-percent discount on admission prices to scenic spots in the district. The “prudent festival” concept was widely welcomed by visitors.
Guyi Garden visitors took part in a gala party with folk customs, some people even wearing traditional costumes. Folk craftsmen were selling handicrafts in the 500-year-old park.
A first-time visitor to China from the United Kingdom who called himself Chris said he had witnessed classic games and enjoyed the old-style garden.
“I had a unique experience of Chinese culture, it’s awesome!” he said.
The Cao’an Tourism & Shopping Festival was also a big hit as it offered large discounts and served up some tasty food.
Shoppers are able to have a close look of the goods and then make orders online, since many shops here started to offer this new kind of service.
Confucius Culture Festival, Jiangqiao Culture & Tourism Festival and Huating Village Happy Festival also proved to be enjoyable attractions.
