Wenzaobang Bridge complete

WENZAOBANG Bridge on Huiping Road was recently completed and will open to traffic soon, adding a main line between Jiading New City and Nanxiang Town.
The large Yunxiang residential area is currently under construction between Jiading New City and Nanxiang Town, but was inconvenient for traffic as the Wenzaobang River runs through the middle of the area.
To solve the problem, Jiading invested 167 million yuan (US$ 26.3 million) at the end of 2011 to build the bridge, which is 268 meters long and 35.5 meters wide with four lanes for autos and two lanes for bikes. The main tower of the bridge is 111 meters high, constructed out of 1,048 tons of steel. Nanometer materials have been used to improve corrosion resistance.
