CONSTRUCTION of the Jiading Workers’ Culture Hall in Jiading New Town is due to be finished by the end of June and put into use in this year. Costing 240 million yuan (US$38.6 million), the project began in March 2012 and occupies an area of 8,400 square meters. It combines the styles of both classical jiangnan gardens and the features of Jiading New Town. The venue will be used for various activities including training programs, cultural activities, sports events, legal and employment services, poverty assistance and conferences.
