The 3rd Shanghai Lotus Exhibition and International Water Lily Exhibition is on show at Jiading’s Guyi Garden.
The exhibition is divided into four sections to display aquatic plants, rare varieties, landscapes and cultural activities.
The aquatic plant zone displays traditional lotus varieties and colorful water lilies from tropical regions and frigid zones, while the rare varieties zone has more than 3,000 lotus and water lilies of more than 500 varieties. Many of them have won awards at international and domestic exhibitions in recent years.
Various cultural activities are being staged, including a painting and calligraphy exhibition, a decorative porcelain exhibition and a garden decoration contest. Tourists can also enjoy a lotus-themed dinner in the garden restaurant.
Besides Guyi Garden, there are another 14 venues of lotus in Shanghai recommended by the exhibition organizer where you can enjoy these special flowers.
