British art, historic museum
A contemporary art show focusing on five British artists has opened in a museum along the Suzhou Creek.
Isaac Julien, Cornelia Parker, Katie Paterson, Susan Philipsz and Ben Rivers all contributed works to “The Distant Unknown,” an exhibition at the OCT Contemporary Art Terminal until August 28.
The museum was once a warehouse for National Industrial Bank of China. The building, on No.30 Wen’an Road, was constructed in 1922 in the German Art Nouveau style.
