THE annual JZ Spring jazz music festival will be held in Jing’an from April 30 to May 2.
The three-day “When Jazz Meets China” festival will kick off with a show in the Shanghai Center Theater on the evening of April 30, when several Chinese classics will be performed in jazz rhythm and tone by China’s leading trumpet player Li Xiaochuan and Shanghai’s jazz expert JZ band. In the next two days, jazz singer Petra Haden, composer Jesse Harris, saxophone master Eddie Daniels and other performers will also take to the stage.
Performances on the lawn of Jing’an Park are free of charge.
