Parks extend open hours
SIX parks in Jing’an have extended their opening hours to give locals the chance to enjoy cooler evenings with family strolls and chats with neighbors.
Jing’an Park, Jing’an Sculpture Park, Pengpu Park and Sanquan Park will remain open until 9pm through the end of October. Everbright City Park will stay open around the clock all year round.
The five parks charge no admission fees, unlike Daning Park, where entry costs 5 yuan per person. Beginning October 1, Daning will remain open until 9pm.
In summer, films are screened outdoors during evenings. This year, free movies are being shown in Jing’an Park and Everbright City Park every Friday and Saturday, beginning at 7pm. A total of 27 films, including the Oscar-nominated “Imitation Game,” Jackie Chan’s “Police Story 2013” and “The Grandmaster” will be screened.
