MINHANG District has been designated as the first "TD network construction and application experimental district" in Shanghai.
TD-SCDMA, standing for Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access, is the original 3G technology developed by China. It was approved by the International Telecommunication Union in 1998, and now it's one of the three 3G technologies in use.
Minhang plans to introduce 3G technologies into the fields of education, medical care, urban management and social services, benefiting citizens with up-to-date records and information.
