Amusement park rescue squad formed

MINHANG will soon have a professional rescue squad specializing in large outdoor amusement facilities like roller coasters and ferris wheels.
The Jinjiang Amusement Park and the Minhang Quality Inspection Bureau signed a contract to form a rescue team, which will save trapped visitors within one hour.
The amusement park in the city's southwest boasts lots of entertainment facilities including "Happy World Exploration," "Gorge Rafting" and "Time Shuttle."
With Children's Day and summer holidays close, the park has made a complete safety check on all of its rides.
The 108-meter-high "Shanghai Wheel" has been installed with a mini power station, which can provide another hour of electricity if the power is cut. It also spent 180,000 yuan (US$26,346) to check the water pumps used in the "Gorge Rafting."
