All coal boilers of 20 tons or more in Minhang have been decoked, according to the district Environment Protection Bureau. The project removed coke and other deposits from the boilers to reduce sulfur dioxide emissions as part of a three-year environmental protection campaign. Twenty-seven coal boilers were decoked.
