THE foundation was laid recently for a national low-carbon project research center in Pujiang Town. According to the current plan, it will mainly concentrate on clean and high-efficiency coal electricity equipment after it's constructed.
This research center is a joint project of Shanghai Power Generation Equipment Research Institute, Oriental Electricity & Gas Group, Shanghai Electricity & Gas Group, Harbin Electricity Group and Chinese Academy of Science. The entire project is expected to be completed in three years with a total investment of 173 million yuan (US$25.33 million).
